The Centre for Safe Air launch was held in Canberra with speeches from State and Federal representatives and researchers.
The event was opened by Professor Tracey Dickson from the University of Tasmania’s Menzies Institute for Medical Research.
The Director of the Centre for Safe Air, Professor Fay Johnston from the University of Tasmania’s Menzies Institute for Medical Research provided an opening address on the purpose and vision of the new Centre.
The launch took place at Old Parliament House with key note addresses from the Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy Senator the Hon Jenny McAlister and the Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care the Hon Ged Kearney MP.
A panel discussion then featured presentations from Scientia Professor Guy Marks, Minister Rebecca Vassarotti MLA, Professor Sotiris Vardoulakis moderated by the ABC’s Tegan Taylor.
